WAITING FAMILIES:
 |
Chris and Laura-Married Since 2007
Numbers 6:24-26 says, “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace.” These are some of Laura’s favorite verses from the Bible. When she was little, her mom would say this blessing each night when tucking her into bed. These words are dear to both of our hearts. We look forward to building our family through adoption and to praying these verses with our little one someday. We not only pray this blessing for our child, however, but also for you. We cannot begin to imagine how difficult this time in your life must be. We have been praying for you and will continue to do so. We pray that the Lord will give you peace and guidance as you make these most difficult decisions. |

Jay and Miriam - Married since 2004
We are Jay and Mimi, married 7 years with two boys. Our two silly monkeys have their hearts set on a sibling, and we could not agree more. Our quirky, noisy, bright family is ready to add one more to the bunch. Recent accomplishments give you a window into our vibrant crew. This week, our 6 year old crossed the whole swimming pool on his own and he made a card for his great grandma with his own handwriting just because he wanted to. Our 3 year old completed a ninja castle of his own design made of Legos which took him several hours to finish and he even shared some of it with his brother. Jay put together a large remote control helicopter he got as a gift and started a new Bible study. Mimi has been performing chamber music with other faculty members from the local music school and just last week managed to complete a lap swim without running into a single other person (hey, it’s an accomplishment!). As we write this, we’re looking forward to the weekend when we’ll get time to relax together, probably heading to the science museum or swim center or both but only after we put in some serious lounging-around time at home. Even as we do all these fun things, we’re thinking and praying about the child soon to join us. It’s an absolutely delicious feeling to look ahead to our lives together as a mother and father devoted to one another, to developing our sweet family, and to our God. Sounds cheezy, I know, but we are grateful for it all! |

Michael and Jenny - Married since 1998
Our family is very excited about the opportunity to adopt. We have been praying, talking and planning for this privilege for some time. We are also praying for you and your journey through this pregnancy and all the decisions you have to make along the way. All three of our children are looking forward to having a new little brother or sister. Our youngest (2.5) frequently remembers the new baby when he prays at meals and bedtime. God is the giver of life and we live each day in the life that we have found in Christ. We thank-you for choosing life for this precious child and we are and will always be praying for both of you. |

If you are reading this, we sincerely thank you for your choice-- Adoption. We pray God will guide you through this process as we believe whatever is his will – Shall be done. We know he has been walking with us all through this journey -- From the time we found out we could not conceive and until the adoption is final. We pray blessings and peace of mind for you now and forever.

We promise to shower your child with unconditional love and tenderness. Our home is full of joy, affection, and laughter and we would like to share that with your child. Michael and Carrie - Married since 2001
Dear Mom,
"Will our new brother or sister arrive in a package, Mom?" asked our 6-year-old son, Micah. After a few chuckles we told him that a very brave and loving mom was going to give us the privilege of raising her son or daughter. Now he and our 3 year old daughter, Makayla, can't wait until we add another member to our family. We are Michael and Carrie and we love spending time with family. We are rarely apart (besides Michael's daily work schedule) and spend time with aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents on both sides and more extended family almost every week. We spend our free time going on walks down the old country path near grandma's house, hunting for letterboxes through mini scavenger hunts, watching and playing baseball games, having cookouts, playing outside, swimming at the river and the pool, and playing games together. Our family motto is to "Love the Lord our God with all our mind, heart and strength and to love our neighbor as ourselves" and we work at putting that into practice in every aspect of our lives. We would consider it one of the highest privileges to "Love the Lord our God" through loving your child as a part of our family.
